This week, in between painting commissions and hospital/doctor visits (nothing overly serious, just considerably uncomfortable) I managed to paint up a Jakob Lynch - Dark Debts crew.
This crew is always troublesome for me. I really like Jakob Lynch's back story, and a part of me always wants to hold onto him and his crew, expand it with some Beckoners, Mr. Graves, Mr. Tannen, and maybe some Depleted, and have it as a B-Side Crew.
I love Lynch's card tricks, the ability to cheat face down is really powerful, not to mention the general discard, Ace In The Hole abilities. The unlucky gambler turned Casino Owner Drug Dealer (sort of...?) is just a really cool bit of back story, and the crew runs very different to my Arcanist crews.
At the same time, I'm not sure about the idea of having a Neverborn crew, as this detracts from my Arcanist crews. I know from my GW armies, playing one often leaves me with the sensation of 'cheating' on the other, as if I'm spreading myself too thin by not focussing on my Arcanist masters...
It's weird and - I know - slightly silly. There we go. That's just me.

It's also worth noting that this crew was available for purchase, but broke the record set by Sonnia Criid and sold within three hours of advertising it!
